Since we had committed to the boat purchase, Andrew wanted to get us out on an R-29 for a sea trial to make sure we liked how the boat felt on the water.  Watching the weather as the day approached, it was to be rainy and a bit breezy.  The day came, we drove to the Des Moines Marina and first thing we saw was the American flag flying straight out!  18 knots winds on the water.  Secretly I was hoping for a non-perfect day for the sea trial and I got it.  Waves were 3-4 feet on the Sound and the wind didn’t let up.  The boat just shoved it’s way through the waves, I was thoroughly impressed.  The 10′ beam was an asset on that water and the toasty warm cabin was so nice.  We were 100% sold!
